In
this post, I’ll be sharing the joys and hardships of living full time in a camper! My family and I decided to travel the USA in April 2013 & the dream came a reality in August. We sold our home and everything in it! It was a big leap of faith but overall I am glad we did it.I love traveling, exploring new places, meeting new people, and seeing the
United States. The US has so much variety from the flat plains of Kansas to the mountains in California. Oh the US amazes me!
The joys of living and traveling in a camper is if the weather permits you can view as many sites as you wish. If one day you want to see some National Parks & the next day you can walk around a downtown. How it works for us is we do school in the morning and then we explore and visit the National Parks or visit a town. The best campgrounds for us are the ones that are located inside a National Park because you are able to see much more if you are staying in the park.
My favorite moments in our travels have been visiting Death Valley National Park, exploring downtown Seattle, being amazed while walking around Redwood National Park, & swimming in Florida.
Now comes the hardships. Yes there are hardships! Even know we get to see so much stuff it can be overwhelming! So it's great when we have a plan and a schedule so we don't over do ourselves. Sometimes the living space gets too tight and we get frustrated, becuase the computer we just put down was moved because someone needed to sit down. Other times we feel lonely if the campground we are staying out doesn't have a lot of people or there is not a lot of activity going on.
I hope this gives you a peek into our camper life. Thanks for letting me share!
