Yarn Along

I am super excited to start Yarn Along created by Ginny Sheller. Each week a bunch of knitters come together to share what they are creating and reading.

This week I am making a purple basket using the pattern from the book More Last-Minute Knitted Gifts. I have made a basket before and I really enjoyed it so I am hoping that this one turns out just as good!

I recently finished the book The Help by Kathryn Stockett and loved it! The book is well written and shows what happened to the maids during that time period. I have also watched the movie, but I think that the book is better. What have you been knitting or reading?

  1. That's a very pretty color of yarn. I like your quilt, too. I liked the movie but didn't much care for the book.

  10. I've actually never seen the movie OR read the book, so I can't put in my two cents, but I love all of the purple in this photo! Gorgeous.
