Summer Mini Book 2014

Summer is here and I am excited to document my summer adventures in a mini book. This is my second mini book. My fist mini book I documented my sister's birthday. FYI I created my sister's mini book in our camper on my bunk with limited supplies. Thankfully mini books are easy to make. For my summer mini book, I have more supplies, & I also spent more time on it.

The chipboard I used was The 8x8 cinch paper from We R Memory Keepers. I painted it blue using Martha Stewart's Beach Glass paint. For some strange reason, the paint color is different than the one shown on Amazon. I love the color and it looks great on the mini book. I wanted the chipboard to have a "weathered" look so I only painted one coat.

Behind the chipboard I pasted a Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party paper and I glued a wooden arrow and a Lucky Charm stitcker.

I wanted the first page of the mini book to be my summer goals. Two weeks ago I wrote down my summer goals and I really wanted to put them in my mini book. So I wrote the goals on card stock paper and put Dear Lizzy's Lucky Charm die-cuts and a sticker

  1. This is so cool! I really really like scrapbooking/making mini books, etc. too. I made a 2 year A-Z memory book for my beloved for our 2 year anniversary about a year and a half ago and when I was growing up I'd make illustrated "books" for my mom. Last year I made her a personalized calendar with my own illustrations, it's so fun! Reading all the Jane Austen books is a goal of mine for this summer as well :)
