This week I am making a summer shawl. The pattern is called The Open Air Wrap. I love making
winter cowls so I decided to try making a summer cowl. For this pattern, I am not using the exact
yarn which is silk. Instead I am using cotton yarn that I found at Michaels. Right now I am having

fun making the shawl!
I am reading Sense and Sensibility. It is one of my goals for the summer to read some of
Jane Austen's work. I have read Pride and Prejudice, but I haven't read any of her other works.
Super excited for summer!
What do you plan on reading this summer?
A summer shawl in cotton is perfect. There are some nights that it will come in handy! I used one last night as a matter of fact. As warm and humid as it was, there was quite a breeze!
ReplyDeleteI read most of sense and sensibility two summers ago but for some reason, never finished it. I think I will have to go back and re-read it all as I have forgotten what happens! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat shawl is looking lovely! I have read Sense and Sensibility before, but didn't like it as much as Pride and Prejudice...but seeing as how I am obsessed with Pride and Prejudice, that is to be expected. Maybe if I watched the movie it would help me get through the language :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty project! I loved Sense and Sensibility buty very favorite Jane austen is Persuasion! I hope you enjoy your reading!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Sense and Sensibility, it's my favorite after Pride and Persuasion. If you like Jane Austen you might enjoy George Eliot as well. Middlemarch is my favorite of hers.
