What I am Knitting/Giveaway CLOSED.

I am so excited to start knitting with this beautiful cotton yarn from Wool and the Gang! By the way isn't the name Wool and the Gang cool? My plan for the yarn is to make knitted blanket to put over my great-grandma's rocking chair. In the past, I have knitted blankets for babies and I made a full size blanket for my brother, but I have never made a blanket for me. So when I found this yarn I knew it would be perfect for the blanket that I always wanted to make.
For the blanket, I am using the book Simple Stitches: KnittingI love the book and I also love that you can sew a piece a fabric on the back of the blanket. The color that I chose for the yarn  was purple haze, which will go great with my room. The soft cotton wool will make this blanket nice and soft.
Now for the fun part!! You can win this ivory white cotton ball of yarn! All you have to do is comment telling me what you would knit with this yarn, please leave your email in the comments. I'll randomly pick a winner on Tuesday the 19th. Also this contest is ONLY open to US residences only.

P.S. This was not a paid post. Wool and the Gang gave me free balls of yarn if I mentioned what project I am going to make with this yarn. All text and opinions are 100% mine.

  3. I have yet to knit a blanket, but have been wanting to for a long time! Yours looks like it will be very nice and I really like the color you chose :) I would probably knit a cowl, a headband or another kerchief (I'm working on my first kerchief ever right now and it's pretty fun!)

  4. the pima cotton would make absolutely great face cloths.....with a nice bar of homemade soap, it would make a great gift, but I'm not sure I could part with that wonderful neutral color....
