Yarn Along

This week I decided to make a rug! Last week I finished my pink scarf so I decided to make something new and different. I have never knitted a rug so this pattern by the Purl Bee is perfect. For the yarn, I am using Martha Stewart's Roving Wool the yarn is pretty and I hope will work well for a rug.

I have also finished the book Lady Susan by Jane Austen. The book reminded me of a old fashioned gossip novel! I know it sounds weird, but the book is written in the form of letters and each character would be "writing" in some way about Lady Susan. Lady Susan wasn't my cup of tea, but I finished it! Now I started Persuasion which is much better for me!

What are you knitting or reading?

  6. I love that you decided to knit a rug, I've never knit one either, or should I say Yet? :)
Great color and I think the roving will make a great rug, it is so soft.

  7. Persuasion is great! I started on Lady Susan but didn't have time to read it now so put it away for another day, it was strange to me to see it written in letter form. I think you described it well though-very gossipy. I read that she actually wrote the first draft of Sense & Sensibility in the same form. Good thing she changed it! I like working with that yarn!
