Hooray for completed projects! I finally finished my blanket! It has been a long process and during that time I had to take out the blanket three times. Those moments are not my favorite, but sometimes those things do happen.
The pattern I used was from the book Simple Stitches. As you can the blanket is really easy to make, but I have never made this style before. This book is probably my favorite pattern book, I have done most of the patterns! The only thing I have to do to the blanket is sew a piece of fabric to the back of it. I have never done this before, so I am excited to try something different.
The yarn I used was from Wool and the Gang. I enjoyed knitting with this yarn and the color I chose was Purple Haze. For this blanket, I used 5 balls of Shiny Happy Cotton. I really love the way it turned out! Right now I haven't been reading or listening to audio books. I have spent most of my energy on studying for my ACT. The test is this Saturday and I can't wait!
What have you been knitting or reading?
P.S. I changed the name of my blog from The Purl Stitch to Melissa Marie Knits. Recently I was getting weird websites viewing the blog so I changed the name. I really love the new name!
Yay for finished blankets!!! I like the new blog name too :)
ReplyDeleteA very simple yet pretty pattern. That quilt is real pretty too!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great looking blanket and good for you in getting it finished.
ReplyDeleteMy blanket is back in time out, it's just too hot here for wool
all over my legs.
I like it! I'm glad you left a comment on my post for yarn along because I was having a hard time finding your blog (I kept typing in thepurlstitch.com). Nice name change :)
