Downton
Abbey is by far my favorite TV show. To be honest, I don't follow a
lot of TV shows, but this one really stuck for me. Sometimes I feel
like I was born in the wrong era, because I really enjoy the outfits
everyone wore and how the men would stand up if the ladies walked in. Anyway back to
reality, Downton Abbey season 5 is airing (in the US) on January 5th
2015 which means I will be glued to the TV waiting to see the first
episode.
While I am watching I want to be doing something with my hands, which will be knitting. So my goal is right when Downton Abbey starts I'll cast on a project that I really want to make and my goal is to finish the project at the end of the season which should be maybe in February. I bought the Unofficial Downton Abbey Knits magazine but am still debating on if I'll knit something out of that.
I have watched all of the seasons of Downton Abbey, but my most favorite season is the 2nd one. What about you?
If you would like to join me in this project, I would love to see your knitted projects. If you have an instagram or twitter use the #downtonabbeyknits so I can see all of your creations. On my blog I'll be sharing my progress once a week. Also click on the Downton Abbey Knits tab to find out how you can join! And as always happy knitting!
The Downton Abbey print is from fox and winston, the tea and Downton Abbey ornament is from PBS shop, and the mug is from Anthropologie.
I know what you mean when you say sometimes you think you were born in the wrong era. I would've loved to belong to the early 1900s! As soon as they invent time machines . . . :)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Downtown Abbey but it has caught my attention before.I would so join in with you if I watched the show but I don't have any type of cable or anything because we don't really watch t.v. I'm looking forward to seeing what you knit! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, I had never seen this magazine! Thanks for showing it or I may have missed out! Now to get it shipped to Australia - postage is SO expensive.
