plans for documenting in 2015.

Welp 2015 is here and I am ready to start documenting! I decided to do something that I never thought I was going to do (I found out what I wanted to do before Christmas!) Instead of doing mini books, I am going to use the Handbook Album System by Studio Calico to document the seasons. So for each season I will have a album for it. Why I chose this way was, I didn't want the pages of my minibook to get ruined. I was already noticing corners getting bent and stains on the paper. These things do happen, but I really want to try making my albums last a little bit longer so I can share them with friends and maybe my kids (long time off, friends!) Also I still will be doing small minibooks to document trips and other sorts of events.

This year I know I am going to college, so I won't spend tons of time (maybe none) on my albums so I want to go a simpler approach So this is why I am choosing the handbook system. It's not a big album, the same size of my minibooks, but they will be sturdier and have page protectors to keep my pages should I say “safe.”

I also want to focus on the pictures. I have always been a picture type girl and I have to have my embellishments This is my style that I like to use so I want to try remember that I love it and use it in my spreads.

Lastly I have subscribed to the Studio Calico monthly kits so I get a kit every month. It's honestly like Christmas morning opening up the kits.

I really enjoy documenting and can't wait to begin!

  1. Happy New Year Melissa Marie. Your season books sound like a great plan and I do hope you share them as time permits.
