A few of my friends and I won Junior Iron Chef Competition so I knew that I could cook this recipe! This stew is so yummy and flavorful! I really liked the use of thyme in it and the fresh mushrooms and carrots were the perfect touch to this dish.
I still can't believe that after all of those years of wanting to make this dish, I finally made it. It's bittersweet in a way that my highschool years are coming to a close and a new journey is awating me. (sorry to get so sentimental in a cooking post!)
Great job Melissa and Natalie for winning! I knew you guys could do it! Your stew looks delicious. And I have to agree I feel the same way as you do about graduating... :)/:(.

Congratulations Melissa, that is fantastic on your win. My daughter is a Culinary Arts teacher [she attended Johnsons & Wales for school] and she is often a judge for competitions and I know she would have loved to sample your dish.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay to be sentimental in your posts, you are getting ready to make a big change and I know in my heart you are going to have such a grand time and I hope you enjoy every minute of it.
Happy Easter to you my dear.
