Yarn Along

I am embarrassed to say that I had to stop knitting my summer shawl. For some strange reason, the shawl started decreasing. The bottom part was bigger than the top. So I had to unravel the project and start over. But I decided to not use that exact pattern and find a pattern that was a little bit easier. I found a pattern called Alcea and I hope it all goes well! Sometimes I get overwhelmed with the pattern and mistakes start showing. But as the saying goes try, try, again!

I am reading the Fault in Our Stars. Yes I am still reading Sense and Sensibility, but when the
library emailed me saying that The Fault in Our Stars was in, I couldn't help myself and I started
reading the book. The book is great, but different than what I ever expected. My favorite part is the ending.

What are you knitting or reading?

  1. I am not a great knitter, I love to crochet and can follow all patterns but knitting patterns its like a foreign language. Love the colour of the yarn.

  2. A very pretty color!!!! Sometimes yarn just doesn't want to be what you want it to!

  5. Glad you picked up your shawl again. It's frustrating when you have to rip back but it is worth it in the end.

  6. Good luck with a different pattern. I've not read that book, but I look forward to getting to it eventually.

  7. Best wishes on your shawl.2 :) I recently had to frog an entire shawl ... after binding off. How frustrating!

  8. I'm sorry that you had such trouble with your shawl.

I loved both TFioS and S&S. I hope you do, too.
