Back into the groove of scrapbooking, so excited! This layout documents 4th of July week. It rained on July 4th so we weren't able to do any fun activities. So we stayed home and had family come over. Also during that week I finished the book Scary Close what a great book and it's the best book I read this summer. 

For this layout, I really loved using the adventure awaits card. It's perfect for this layout because I just got my driver's permit!!

project life 2015| june 06.

I have been horrible at blogging lately! Life has been so busy I feel like I am running a race that never stops. This summer I have been working at my summer job and also preparing for college it's only a month away! How did time go by that fast? It seems like only yesterday I was applying for college and studying for the ACT. 

Since I have been so busy scrapbooking has been put on the back burner, to my disappointment. I plan on catching up over the weekend, I so miss scrapbooking. Anyway for this layout I documented the start of summer going to a book club, listening to Hillsong United, and loving the fresh peonies that graced my nightstand (how I miss them!)

The cards that I used were from the Lisse Street Project Life kit and I also loved the stripe card from the Spring Card set. These colors are ones that I normally don't use but I really liked the way it looked.

I am little bit behind in posting my Project Life spreads, been so busy and tired. I want to get all caught up with my Project Life, I keep telling myself I am doing the best I can. Anyway this spread documents me teaching a class for Big Picture Classes. I also used a new to me page protector from Studio Calico that has slots for two 4x6 photos. I believe this is my second time using this type of design and I am starting to like it.  It's called page protector #3.

Loved using a Project Life card from Crate Paper's line Notes and Things. This line is one of my favorites from Crate Paper, but to be honest I like anything they put out! :)

This layout documents me teaching a class at Big Picture Classes (still can't believe I am a teacher!) For this spread, I challenged myself to use my stash of 6x6 and 4x6 paper. I have so many sheets of paper that have been partly used, so I knew I wanted to make a layout using those sheets. It was fun to stretch myself and do something I rarely do. 

Those green chipboard letters are my favorite. They are from a Studio Calico kit and I love adding them to my layouts.

documenting summer.

I am still amazed that June is coming to a close and July is almost here. I feel like June flew by really fast and all I can do is hang on an enjoy the wild ride called life. 

For my summer mini album, I decided to go back to my roots and make an album again. Since I am going to college I decided to save my money and create an album instead of buying one. Creating an album is fun and I always love doing it. 

I will continue to document how I normally have been documenting. You can find more about that here. It has been working well and I have been staying caught up, which is great! 

My first spread for summer 2015 is fairly simple. I used white cardstock for the back of the book (I love white cardstock)! It's one of my favorite things to use in my scrapbook albums. On the right page I used some Dear Lizzy paper and a quote from Pinterest. For my summer album, I am using the same idea as I used in my spring album I want to keep it simple and pretty and use lots of white cardstock but with some pops of color.

This layout includes a lot of text, which is great. But it's something I don't do that often. For this spread I had so many things to say and include and I didn't want to leave anything out. On the left I summarized my last 4 years of highschool and also wrote has fast the whole journey was. It's amazing to see how far I've come in just 4 short years.

I found this quote on Pinterest and when I saw it I knew I needed to add it one of my scrapbooking layouts. If there was ever a quote that described me I belive this is the one. So it fit perfectly above my senior picture. :)

I still can't believe I am writing this, I taught a class at Big Picture Classes!! Never in a million years did I think this would happen! A couple months ago Big Picture Classes contacted me and asked if I would be up to teach a class about my Project Life process. I was so honored that they would ask me and I am excited to share with you 5 photo and journaling prompts and also my Project Life process.

This is one of my favorite spreads because it documents my sister and I but also my senior picture!! It's still surreal for me to think that I graduated high school and will be moving on to college. :) Anyway back to the spread, my sister took my grad picture in a meadow near our home. It was fun to take pictures and chat while doing it. Ever since 8th grade, I have been thinking about my senior pictures and now I can't believe I just got them done last week!

Loved using the Home where I am planted card from Studio Calico. It's actually chipboard which it's pretty neat!

As I mentioned before, I really like taking pictures of my siblings and I. It's also fun to document these moments. Sooner or later we'll all be grown up! Also this my new favorite picture of us. :)

On this spread I used bits and pieces of paper from the Brighton Pier paper pad, Craft Market collection, and the Walden paper pad. I really liked how you can combine different pieces of paper to make a layout. Also the let the good times roll silkscreen is my new favorite thing.

It's always good to take pictures with your siblings. Because sooner than you ever think you'll be grown up and than you wished you took that picture. I am so happy that one Sunday morning before church we took photos of each other together. It only took a few minutes but it was well worth it. These pictures are why I love scrapbooking and to me this is what scrapbooking is all about. Preserving those memories. When ever I look at these pictures I remember that moment where we stopped to take a picture.

This week I have been scrapbooking like crazy, I am trying to get all caught up on my pages. I am almost there! As I have mentioned before we recently moved so we are getting familiar with the area. On Saturday we went to for ice-cream and also that day heard that American Pharaoh won the Belmont Stakes so he is the Triple Crown winner. When I hear that news I knew I wanted to add that special event into my scrapbook pages.

Loved using some cards from the Dear Lizzy Fine and Dandy kit. It's such a fun and bright kit!

I have been reading a lot lately! It's so good to sit at the end of the day and read. Recently i just finished the Notebook, My Mother the Cheerleader, and the Night Circus. I really enjoyed the Night Circus, it's not a book that I normally read but still really good. Now I am going to start What I saw and How I Lied. Also when I am not reading I have been knitting and listening to music especially One Direction. :)

For this spread I loved using these thickers. They are my favorite and make a bold statement on your pages. Also they are gold foil, which makes it even better!

project life 2015| may 04.

It's been awhile since I have posted anything! My family and I recently just moved so I haven't been scrapbooking. It was so awesome to finally open up my scrapbooking supplies and place pictures and cards into the pockets.

Anyway this spread is about my trip to NYC. I absolutely adore the city so every time I go it's always so thrilling. On this trip my sister and I went with some friends of ours. Also if you are ever in the city I recommend going to the Brooklyn Piers, the views are stunning and you can see for miles (on a clear day.)

I have been wanting to use this city paper for awhile now (it's from the Park Avenue SC kits.) I believe it works great for a city spread. Also isn't that postcard cute?

Last week we went to a nursery in Long Island. The day we went it was really warm so we all were very hot as we walked through the nursery. In the gardens, I was so happy to see some succulents, they are so pretty! For me and all the girls, the best part of the day was when we went to go get ice-cream! 

I have been wanting to use this chocolate card for awhile. So it fits perfectly next to my swirl ice-cream picture. I really do love soft-serve!

project life 2015| april 09.

I love using Project Life! It's so much fun to document these fun moments with friends and family. So in April, we went to the Belmont and go to tour the facility. It was really fun! I especially loved standing in the starting gate and watching the horses warm up. 

Really simple scrapbook spread, but simple is sometimes the best! Loved using these diamond stickers from the Walden PL kit. Even though they are kind of fallish, they work nicely with this spread.

2 weeks ago we went to NYC! I have been wanting to go to the city for a very long time! It was fun to go there with our 4-H friends. We walked on the High Line, saw the Flat Iron, and also went to Chelsea Market.  If you are ever in the city I would recommend walking on the Highline. It's a old train track that has been remolded into a walkway. 

On the High Line, there was a beautiful mural of the Sailor's kiss. The color's are just the best and it's one of my favorite murals ever!

project life 2015| may 01.

This week I am challenging myself to do things in my scrapbooking that I normally don't do (a couple of days ago I used orange/yellow you can find that layout here.) I normally don't use many bright colors like hot pink. But sometimes it's good to challenge yourself. I am happy with how the spread turned out, even though I used colors that I don't ordinarily use. 

Since I love to read, I really enjoyed the book review card from Cirque PL kit. It was fun to look back and read why I really loved the Berlin Boxing Club. (Also if you haven't read that book, I totally recommend it!)

project life 2015| april 08.

For this week's spreads, I am going out of my comfort zone and using colors that I don't ordinarily use. Orange and yellow are two colors that I don't use very often. I really enjoy trying to get out of my comfort zone, it's kind of fun to do things you never thought you would do! 

I enjoyed documenting my mornings a couple of weeks ago. In my room, I have a ledge where I store my hope cups. It's such a great reminder to wake up to each morning.

project life 2015| april 07.

We are moving from Long Island to a farm in upstate NY! It's going to very exciting and so different than Long Island. This spread is about buying the house, exploring the back yard (there is a cute stream in the back), and reading books.

I loved using the spring card from Studio Calico's Lily kit.

A few weeks ago we went to a horse farm with some of our friends. It was so awesome to see students riding horses. We also were able to take a tour around the barns and see all of the different saddles and bridles that horses can wear. Out of all the horses we saw I really liked Herman, isn't he cute?! 

Also the hello stamp from Wilna is one of my favorite stamps ever! I really love using it in my spreads, because you never get tired of hello!
