The Get Messy's monthly prompt, was what would you love to do if you had the courage to try it. I wrote my what I would love to do on a piece of white paper and used a Dear Lizzy paper for the background. On the next page I used beach glass paint and created the stripes. The cute little pink flower is from my Citrus Twist Kits.
If I had lots of courage I would love to start crocheting and ride on a roller coaster. I have never ridden on a roller coaster, I have always been to nervous. I want to laugh at myself when I make mistakes or if I do something funny. Lastly I need to stop worrying, worry will not add a day to your life!
Get Messy is an art journal challenge where a gang of crafty girls are sharing art journal pages we have created to practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. We share our pages without restraint every week, and once a month we create around a prompt. Go check out these crazy talented ladies who are creating pages who each have a unique perspective and style. We will be sharing our work around social media so follow the hashtag #getmessyartjournal.
I love your use of color! You really know how to put colors together. And I've always been too scared to ride a roller coaster too -- if you ever do it, blog about it for us! :D
ReplyDeleteI think it takes courage just to write all those things down. <3
ReplyDeleteI totally understand the rollar coaster thing. Everytime I go on on one I cry my eyes out but in the end I LOVE it and want to do it again. That sea glass color is PRETTY!
ReplyDeletethose are big courageous goals! At age 37, I have been a life-time lover of rollercoasters, but I can't seem to shake the worry-ing thing!!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet simplicity in your pages. Love the simple stripes.
ReplyDeletethat sea glass paint is the perfect shade. Laughing at one,s self is one of the bravest things one can do.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really really nice idea, love it, stopping worrying would be amazing!

when I was 14 yo my best friend convinced me to ride a coaster and I was terrified. The feeling was scary and fun rolled together. Now I am back to not riding. You just need a fearless friend to convince you the wonders. As for crocheting, you tube can teach you nearly anything!! btw I am a life long worrier and I've come to accept myself for who I am and pray A LOT.
ReplyDeleteI would learn to crochet too. Love the stripes this week - you give me such inspiration for my own vision book.
ReplyDeletewe can all try to worry a little less..
ReplyDeleteLovely, friend!
