first of 2014 minibook part 1.

This book has become one of my favorite projects. I am documenting all of my "first's" of 2014. For me 2014, was full of firsts such as first pair of legwarmers, first minibook, first time seeing a rocket launch, and first time swimming in an ocean in February. I want to remember all of these moments, so why not document it in a minibook. This minibook is very carefree it's not styled, there are a variety of colors from each season I was in, but it's what 2014 looked like for me. I took a class by Ali Edwards called Story Kits and the prompt this month was firsts. When I saw the prompt, I knew I can use the kit and the ideas throughout my book.
For the title page, I used an older Kelly Purkey best of card, a first die-cut piece from Ali Edwards, and variety of pieces from the Park Avenue Scrapbook kit
On the left page, I briefly summarized 2014. Later on in life, I would like to go back and see what we did in 2014 and thought this would bonus for the book. The right page is about my first legwarmers of 2014.
The left design is probably my favorite. The mixture of gold and floral makes me happy!  :) On the right there is another picture of me and the legwarmers.
This spread is all about coffee! In Louisiana, I tried Comunity Coffee for the first time. It was honestly some of the best coffee I have ever had. It had a unique flavor to it and makes me want to drink it all day, which will not be a good thing! :)
The beach at Cape Canaveral was my favorite. It was the first time for me to go to a beach in February, I honestly miss it and hope someday to go back in the winter. (I don't know if I can handle the heat in the summer!)
We saw a rocket launch in Cape Canaveral. It was definitely pretty amazing! On the next page, I used my own handwriting and wrote a quote that I like by Neil Armstrong.
Lastly this spread is about me seeing a Spoonbill bird for the first time in the Everglades. It was so pretty and I really like that the bird was pink! It's the little things..:)
