Summer Mini Book Part: 9

WOW! This is my last post for my summer mini book! So let's get started! On the left spread is a picture of orientation at my brother's college. I talked more about this experience here. The striped paper, orange label, and blue paper was from Studio Calico. I also loved using a stamp from Elise Joy. On the second page I used vellum from Studio Calico and wrote with Sharpie Melissa Marie your 17!
The last page in my summer mini book is abut my 17th birthday. This spread is one of my favorites! I used a 5x7 picture of me and then pasted a Lucky Charm paper behind the picture. On the next page, I used ruffled paper and a hello sticker from Me and My Big Ideas. The cute fox chipboard is from 5th and Frolic and the pink words are from Studio Calico

I had so much fun creating this mini book! I'll be making a fall mini book in the future. So exciting!

Summer Mini Book Part: 8

I love making mini books! On the left layout, I got to spend time with my friend Mary. I loved taking pictures of her it was so much fun! I used Becky Higgins design 3 and Studio Calico black and white script card and pink paper from Dear Lucky Charm edition
While we were in Margretville, we stayed at a cute apartment. I loved it! I am so happy that I was able to document it in my mini book. The striped paper that I used is from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm edition.  I finally bought a Studio Calico kit! I chose the Blue Grass Farm kit and in the kit I found the orange card. Lastly the cute flower is from Basic Grey
I loved the green wall in the apartment so of course I had to document it! I used a black sheet of paper from the Polka Dot Party pad. I really love using the shine word from Brighton Pier from Studio Calico. The white sticker is from Cosmo Cricket
The last layout in our trip to Margretville! I used Becky Higgins design 3 and a picture of downtown from Margretville. The cute white tag is from Studio Calico's South of the Market and the noted paper is from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm. Lastly the fresh produce paper is from Studio Calico

Summer Mini Book Part: 7

Another spread for the mini book! One of our friends has a pool, we all loved swimming in it! Behind the picture of the watermelon sherbet , I pasted a picture of us all in the pool.

For this spread, I used Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm paper. Behind the icepop picture I used
Maggie Holmes sky paper. For the embellishments, I used Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm stickers and thickers. The be true sticker is from Studio Calico

On the left spread, the chevron paper is from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection. The cute floral paper is from Maggie Holmes. As you can tell, we loved the pool it's so refreshing to jump in! The sunshine thicker is from the Lucky Charm edition. Lastly the sun chipboard and the pool sign is from Studio Calico.

I used a photo of Natalie on a alligator and placed a Dear Lizzy thicker on the photo. It's definitely a simple but so pretty!
The last spread today (I promise!) I used a picture of me with my finished scarf and used a today chipboard from Basic Grey. On the second layout, the striped paper is from Simply Happy. I used a stamp from Michaels that I got for a penny. Yes a penny! Isn't that unbelievable? The green paper is from Dear Lizzy

Fun Vacation.

Since we are living in Long Island we are pretty close to family. It takes about 3-4 hours to get up to see relatives. Yes it's a long drive but we are closer than Colorado (which is where we used to live.) We drove up to Albany, celebrated my Nana's 91st birthday, and then stayed with my aunt. I love visiting family because we chat, eat great food like this watermelon shaped sherbet, and play miniature golf. I didn't win but I got a hole in one! Cheers to summer 2014 you are great!

Summer is here!

Happy summer! I am so excited for this year! We have a few fun plans for the summer, but other than that I hope to spend my time reading, blogging, knitting, and crafting. Wishing you all a happy day & a fun filled summer! What are your plans for the summer? Melissa
